Zachary Black - Band Director
Zachary Black is in his 8th year teaching music in Exeter and his 4th year of directing the bands at Exeter Union. Zachary is a graduate of Fresno State and has spent the last 14 years teaching music and coaching marching bands in the valley. Mr. Black is a proud member of CBDA, TKMEA, CAJ, and performs with the Sequoia Winds of Visalia. He is also a founding member of the El Ritmo Drum & Bugle Corps.

Our Percussion staff
Alicia Valenzuela - Percussion Director
Alicia Valenzuela (Miss Lady) is in her 5th year working with our percussion. Alicia has spent time teaching percussion at Monache and Golden West high schools. She is a medal winning performer during her time at Tulare Union High School in the SJVCGPR and WGI circuits. Alicia is also the front ensemble director and staff coordinator for El Ritmo Indoor Percussion.

Eric Garza - Battery Technician
Eric Garza is a graduate of Exeter and excited to be returning as a percussion instructor. Since graduating Eric has spent time with Bakersfield College and performing with Valley Independent Percussion. He is now also serving on staff in VIP's 2025 return.

Our Guard staff
Ruben Amavisca - Color Guard Director and Drill Designer
Ruben Amavisca is a long time member of the pageantry world. He has designed for many schools and independent groups throughout California including: Hanford West High School, Ventura Independent Winter Guard, Tulare Union High School, Valley Independent Percussion, and more. Mr. Amavisca is the Treasurer and founding member of the South Valley Winter Arts Association and a well established judge in California. Ruben is the guard director and a founding member of El Ritmo Drum & Bugle Corps.
Angela Vega - Color Guard Instructor & Wilson Middle School Guard Director
Angela Vega is a graduate of Exeter Union High School where she was the captain of the color guard. Angela is entering her 5th year as part of our color guard staff. As the director of the Wilson Middle School color guard Angela has lead the group to two 3rd place medals at SVWAA championships. She was also a gold medal winner as a performer in the inaugural season of the El Ritmo Winter Guard.
Andreas Montejano - Color Guard Instructor & Choreographer
Andreas Montejano is a graduate of Exeter Union High School and excited to be returning in his 2nd stint as a guard instructor. Andy has spent time performing at the highest levels in WGI with Frente Winter Guard and DCI with the Madison Scouts. Andy has been an active part of growing color guard activity in the valley teaching at Farmersville, Mission Oak, Mt. Whitney, and Redwood. He is also the Co-Artistic Director for the El Ritmo Winter Guard.
Dayanara Vega - Color Guard Instructor
Dayanara Vega is a graduate of Exeter Union High School where she was the captain of the color guard. Yaya is entering her 2nd year as part of our color guard staff here at EUHS as well as Wilson Middle School. She is also a member of the El Ritmo Winter Guard.
